One of my nearest and dearest friends is moving this weekend for work, so we recently had one last brunch together to celebrate before he headed off. We decided on what has now become to us, an old favorite.

Last year, I stumbled upon Teak. Unassuming, and relatively hidden in a residential part of Orlando, Teak Neighborhood Grill has some of the best sandwiches, burgers, and food in general that I’ve experienced in a while. I’ve never been disappointed going to Teak and in my opinion, it’s worth the drive to enjoy what this place has to offer!

This time around, I was able to make it during brunch hours, and let me tell you, brunch is pretty much my favorite meal time ever! I decided on a breakfast frittata (like a crustless quiche) filled with roasted veggies and cheese and added some bacon, because…bacon. I mean, bacon just makes things infinitely better. The frittata was also served with breakfast potatoes. Yum!

When my food arrived, I was honestly shocked at how big the portion was. I only made it through a quarter of this meal! Every bite I did take though was heavenly! The eggs were fluffy and delicious, and the breakfast potatoes were wonderful. I’m not sure what seasoning went on them, but they were crisp and delicious. I’ve found that breakfast potatoes or hash browns are a big indication of a good breakfast/brunch place. You wouldn’t believe how many places butcher something so simple!

Anyway…you didn’t read this to hear me rant about potatoes! If you’re in Orlando, go to Teak. Go at any time. Eat anything. Be happy. 🙂
