Location: 7563 Sand Lake Road Orlando, Florida 32819

The Whiskey is a place I had been scoping out for a while. Orlando Weekly, a local paper that highlights local restaurants, events, companies, etc., had put together a list of new restaurant openings, and because of it’s close proximity to where I live, The Whiskey caught my eye.

I was checking out the menu online when my eyes passed over trigger words that made my mouth water…wagyu beef, pork belly, garlic aioli. Was it possible that all of my deliciously favorite flavors could all be found in perfect trifecta on one burger?!

I had to go. Lucky for me a friend was in town, and due to some unforeseen circumstances (failing to properly plan a brunch location on a weekend with a wait time under an hour), we found ourselves at The Whiskey!

I knew what I wanted and I knew I had to get it, The Royale: Wagyu Beef, Pork Belly, Gouda Cheese, Whiskey Onions, and Garlic Aioli. I didn’t have eyes for anything else.

After much anticipation, my burger arrived. I tried to maintain my composure, but I couldn’t wait to take a bite. When I did, it was…heaven. The burger was cooked perfectly and was so moist and juicy. The pork belly was crispy and added a wonderful salty component to the sandwich. The garlic aioli was creamy and flavorful, working wonderfully with all of the other flavors of the burger. All of this deliciousness was served on a perfectly toasted brioche bun.

Everything after that moment passed in a blur as I took bite after bite of heavenly goodness.

  2. Order The Royale
  3. Die happy 🙂
