Philadelphia Edition: White Dog Cafe

Location: 3420 Sansom Street Philadelphia, PA 19104

It was a sunny  morning and a lot of people were out and about brunching and relaxing. My friends and I were looking for somewhere local to eat (as per usual) and we came across White Dog Cafe. I’d heard of this place from some friends before, so brunch was the perfect opportunity to check it out.

The menu had quite a few items on it that sounded appealing to me, but I settled on the Lancaster City 3-Egg Omelette. I was also quite happy that they served La Colombe coffee (a personal favorite of mine, but we’ll get to that in another post)! Continue reading “Philadelphia Edition: White Dog Cafe”

The Donut King

Location: 208 South Highway 27 Minneola, Florida 34715

I’m not sure how I’ve blogged for so long and never mentioned The Donut King. For years this has been my favorite place to go for the freshest, tastiest, most creative donuts in Central Florida!

The first time I went to The Donut King was late one Friday night after hanging out with friends. A friend of mine lived in the area and mentioned the place. We showed up to a small building with an old-fashioned fluorescent sign, and I’ll admit I was a little worried. I went in and was warmly greeted by trays and trays of donuts and all traces of worry were gone. Continue reading “The Donut King”

Gnarly Barley

Location: 7431 S. Orange Ave Orlando, FL 32809

I’m always in the area by Gnarly Barley and I’ve passed this place so many times, but have never gone in. It’s literally a tiny shack on Orange Ave that looks like suspect things happen within its doors. I’m so glad a friend suggested the place and that we headed over for lunch. Although I was apprehensive, I’m always done for an adventure so I decided to give it a shot. Continue reading “Gnarly Barley”

Se7en Bites

Location: 207 Primrose Drive Orlando, FL 32803

I woke up on a bright and sunny Saturday morning with food on my mind. Do you ever wake up with a food mood? Well mine was basically eat food that may potentially kill me with deliciousness. I thought for a moment and the perfect place came to mind, Se7en Bites. I’d been to this bakery/cafe once before and left with fond memories of the food. Continue reading “Se7en Bites”

D.C. Edition: Busboys and Poets

Location: 2021 14th Street NW Washington D.C., 20009

As you have probably guessed by the title, Busboys and Poets is not a Central Florida eat, but bear with me. My logic? As Floridians stuck in a tourist destination, we at times like to take the occasional trip ourselves to play the tourist. Enter Washington D.C. and the deliciousness that is Busboys and Poets into my life. Continue reading “D.C. Edition: Busboys and Poets”

Teak Neighborhood Grill

Location: 6400 Times Square Avenue Orlando, Florida 32835

One of my nearest and dearest friends is moving this weekend for work, so we recently had one last brunch together to celebrate before he headed off. We decided on what has now become to us, an old favorite.

Last year, I stumbled upon Teak. Unassuming, and relatively hidden in a residential part of Orlando, Teak Neighborhood Grill has some of the best sandwiches, burgers, and food in general that I’ve experienced in a while. I’ve never been disappointed going to Teak and in my opinion, it’s worth the drive to enjoy what this place has to offer! Continue reading “Teak Neighborhood Grill”

BurgerFi

Location: http://burgerfi.com/locations

A while back a friend and I were craving good old American comfort food. What does that translate to for us? Burgers and fries, baby! So we set out to eat at BurgerFi, which is a chain (not a huge fan of chains), but good nonetheless. I’d never actually gotten food from there so I was eager to try a few things. We talked to the person at the register and after some deliberation settled on a New York Style Hot Dog, A Double Bacon Cheeseburger (heart attack waiting to happen!) and “Urban” Fries from their “secret” menu. Continue reading “BurgerFi”

Ria’s Bluebird

Good morning lovely people! I know it’s been a little while since I’ve put anything up, but things have been a little hectic. I took a mini vacation this past weekend to escape the stress and had the opportunity to travel to Georgia. So this week will be dedicated to the delicious food that Atlanta, Georgia has to offer. Continue reading “Ria’s Bluebird”
